Automating Tasks on Launch

If you want to modify the debugger boot process and specify a behavior to occur during the connection attempt, you can modify the Python* script that launches the System Debugger Console.
See below an example of making debug information loaded automatically each time the console is started:
  1. Navigate to
    <install_dir>/system_studio_<year>/etc/python-sysdbg
    and open
    console.py
    for editing.
  2. Find the comment
    # CUSTOM CODE WOULD GO HERE
    and add your code.
    For example, the following code snippet enables automatic loading of available debug symbols:
    for t in threads: t.symbols.load_this()
  3. Save the file and launch the Intel® System Debugger.

Product and Performance Information

Intel's compilers may or may not optimize to the same degree for non-Intel microprocessors for optimizations that are not unique to Intel microprocessors. These optimizations include SSE2, SSE3, and SSSE3 instruction sets and other optimizations. Intel does not guarantee the availability, functionality, or effectiveness of any optimization on microprocessors not manufactured by Intel. Microprocessor-dependent optimizations in this product are intended for use with Intel microprocessors. Certain optimizations not specific to Intel microarchitecture are reserved for Intel microprocessors. Please refer to the applicable product User and Reference Guides for more information regarding the specific instruction sets covered by this notice.
