Performance Snapshot (preview)

provides several analysis types that are tailored to examine various application types and aspects of performance. Performance Snapshot captures a picture of these aspects and presents an overview of the workings of your application.

Use Performance Snapshot when you want to see a summary of issues affecting your application. This analysis also includes recommendations for other analysis types that you can run next for a deeper investigation.
  1. Select the
    Performance Snapshot
    analysis type from the analysis tree.
  2. If memory bandwidth information is important, check this box for relevant data collection.
  3. Click the Start button to run the analysis.

    To run Performance Snapshot from the command line for this configuration, use the Command Line button at the bottom.
  4. Once the data collection is complete, see results in the
    • There are sections of information about areas of concern.
    • The sections list supporting metrics with red flags indicating sub-optimal values.
    • The analysis tree highlights other analysis types that you should consider running next.

Intel's compilers may or may not optimize to the same degree for non-Intel microprocessors for optimizations that are not unique to Intel microprocessors. These optimizations include SSE2, SSE3, and SSSE3 instruction sets and other optimizations. Microprocessor-dependent optimizations in this product are intended for use with Intel microprocessors. Certain optimizations not specific to Intel microarchitecture are reserved for Intel microprocessors.
