Specify a search directory for source files.

Syntax

-source-search-dir

DIR
Specify the name of the search directory to add.
Default
Only default search directories are used.
Actions Modified
Description
This option specifies search directories for source files. Use this option to specify the location of source files required to provide correct source view report with the
source-object
option.
During data collection, the result directory is set as the default search directory for the collected result.
Alternate Options
search-dir
Specify search directories for symbol and binary files.
This command opens the source view with the hotspots performance metrics for the foo function and uses the directory to search for source files.


    
vtune -report hotspots -source-object function=foo -r r001hs -source-search-dir /home/my_sources
