This is the release note for Intel® System Debugger - Intel® Debug Extensions for WinDbg*. Intel® Debug Extensions for WinDbg* is an extension for the traditional Microsoft* WinDbg*. The traditional WinDbg* has to work with functional Windows* debug drivers. But in some system hang cases, the debug driver is also dead. The normal WinDbg* cannot output anything. Intel® Debug Extensions for WinDbg* changes the debugging route to Intel® Direct Connect Interface (DCI). So, when the OS is malfunction, we can Intel® Debug Extensions for WinDbg* still can send out some information as clues.

Product and Performance Information


Intel's compilers may or may not optimize to the same degree for non-Intel microprocessors for optimizations that are not unique to Intel microprocessors. These optimizations include SSE2, SSE3, and SSSE3 instruction sets and other optimizations.
