Overview

  • Run OpenCL™ applications and kernels directly on Intel® processors as target OpenCL devices.
  • Enable production OpenCL applications with this stand-alone, OpenCL™ CPU runtime for Intel® processors, with or without Intel® Graphics Technology
  • Develop using the Intel® CPU Runtime for OpenCL™ Applications as a test environment for OpenCL devices, such as Intel® Graphics Technology and Intel® FPGA.

Intel's compilers may or may not optimize to the same degree for non-Intel microprocessors for optimizations that are not unique to Intel microprocessors. These optimizations include SSE2, SSE3, and SSSE3 instruction sets and other optimizations.
