Editor’s App Picks April 2014

Here at the Intel Developer Zone, we’ve launched an exciting platform called the "Share Your App Project”, a great way for interested developers to share what they’re working on with the greater developer community. Every month, we plan to recognize a few apps for innovation, creativity, and intuitive and interesting use of technology. If this sounds intriguing to you, and you’d like to get more information, visit the Share Your App page and let us know what you’re working on right now.

In March’s Editor’s App Picks, we took a look at Simiyu the Chicken, PBA Bowling Challenge, GlamSham, and Clumsy Frog. For April, we’re going to check out Comptines et chansons, ZonzoFox, The Zombie Tale, Amazing Ant Smasher, and Sound Pranker.

Comptines et chansons

Comptines et chansons (Rhymes and songs) is a charming kids’ app that teaches French songs and rhymes with videos, illustrations, and music scores. This app is an HTML5 application packaged with Intel XDK software and published on Google Play for the CodeFest Challenge 2014 contest.

ZonzoFox

ZonzoFox is a polished Android app that offers free, in-depth tourist guides of popular Italian cities. This includes information on what to see, where to eat, nightlife, shopping, and possible side excursions. City guides include Milan, Genoa, Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Vicenza, Parma, Padua, and Verona. This app was developed using the Intel XDK both for design and as infrastructure, along with an external API integration in order to update content more easily.

The Zombie Tale

The Zombie Tale is a fun adventure game that offers three distinctly different types of touch-based game play, with options to unlock more levels as you move up. This app was built using the Intel XDK.

Amazing Ant Smasher

Amazing Ant Smasher is aptly named as that is the sole purpose of this fun yet challenging Android app. Developed using Adobe Air for Android.

Sound Pranker

Sound Pranker gives you the chance to make over 120 annoying noises/sounds in five different categories.  Created with Java* and Dalvik, using Eclipse development framework.

Interested in getting your apps featured? We invite you to take a look at the Share Your App Android project, where you can share your app projects in process or completed on the Intel® Developer Zone to get feedback, gain exposure, or be discovered for co-marketing opportunities.
