And They're Off!!! - Intel Threading Challenge 2011 Started Today - Bigger Prizes this Year

It's begun! The first two (one each of Apprentice and Master Level) problems hit the Threading Challenge Web site at noon today. Now you've got three weeks to formulate and submit your solutions. This will be followed by two more problem sets with three-week submission windows also. You can check out the contest rules and (my personal favorite pages) the PRIZES! The top prizes this year are two trips to the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) this September in San Francisco - one trip each for both the Apprentice and Master winners. Cash prizes are higher this year also. We've got an International panel of Intel judges from Russia, the US, PRC and India. Paul Besl, our US judge is profiled here - we'll have info on the rest of our panel shortly.

So get busy, read all about it and start coding. We want to hear from you.

Links to the problems are here: Apprentice and Master.

Good luck - maybe I'll see you at IDF this year!
