Removing Intel® XDK Local Data on Windows*, Apple OS X*, & Linux*

Intel® XDK is a HTML5 cross-platform solution that enables developers to write web and hybrid apps once, and deploy across many app stores and form factor devices. Intel XDK is available as a free download for Windows* 7 & 8 , Apple OS X*, and Ubuntu* Linux*

When it comes to resolving some issues around cached data within the XDK, you can accomplish this by manually removing the listed files below for each desktop install.

Why is this helpful?

  1. Issues with Displaying the Samples Collection
  2. Issues with Displaying the Templates Collection
  3. Issues with the Emulate Tab not switch projects
  4. Issues with logging into the XDK
  5. Frequent Crashing

Windows* 7 & 8

Under the <Disk>:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Local\XDK directory, delete the following files and folders

Apple OS X*

Under the ~/Library/Application\ Support/XDK directory, delete the following files and folders

Linux

Under the ~/.config/XDK directory, delete the following files and folders

  1. Cache\
  2. Downloads\
  3. File System\
  4. GPUCache\
  5. Local Storage\
  6. QuotaManager
  7. cookies

Note: When the XDK is starting up, it will recreate updated versions of these files if they aren’t present. :)
