I’d like to share a useful example for recording audio in a Windows Store App. Particularly, I will present an app that targets the enterprise healthcare sector. Audio recordings can enable doctors to “attach” speech to notes for patients. This aides doctors in the event that if their hands are occupied, they can simply use voice to make a recording or play it back with a single button click. Also, when a doctor’s working with many patients, on-the-fly dictation makes it easier to track accurate medical records. Thus, recorded notes serve as a great addendum to the traditional ke
I have successfully called a C routine in a dll from Fortran and a Fortran routine in a dll called from VB many times. This is the first time I've tried using VB to call Fortran to call C.
The simple test routines below try to pass an integer from a Fortran routine called by VB to a C routine.
The value being passed = 12, but when it reaches the C routine, the value = 1239536.
VB 2010 code:
Declare Sub TEST_FTN Lib "LHM_Fsrc.dll" ()
I have two old fortran programs that are supposed to be talking to each other, originally both writen and compiled using old Compaq compiler. Recently we switched due to various reasons to the Intel compiler and except for a few minor incompartibility issue the code for both programs compiles nicelly.
On May 23rd we held another Intel AppLab at the Microsoft Technology center. We had developers from top Fortune 500 companies in the healthcare, banking, materials, manufacturing and agricultural sectors. The event was held in a large classroom style facility. Presentation from local Microsoft and Intel presenters received high marks on our survey from the participants. We also had a presentation from UX/UI specialist Dr.
I recently replayed Steve L's webinar and my interest was drawn to the object brower capability. I have never had success with this. Are there any special compiler/linker settings required to generate some database for this feature to work? Unfortunately the demonstration did not explain how this was generated and because I was not watching live I couldn't submit a question to Steve at the time.
My programming enviroment is 64Bits Win7 + Visual Studio 2012 + IVF2013 (platform x64).
First, i was failed to bulid "my.exe" because of "LINK : fatal error LNK1248: image size (8514E000) exceeds maximum allowable size (80000000)", then i succeed to build "my.exe" by using the allocatable dimension. But the "my.exe" can't be excuted because of "it is not a valid win32 application". But If i directly and largely decrease the size of array in my program, the new "my.exe" can be excuted well!
1] I have been using ResEdit for a while but I just tried adding ‘Spin’ controls for a text box and it doesn’t create the .res file properly (VS give a compile error) and resedit can’t read its own .res file without an error. I am guessing it does not support this feature properly, no complaints it is Freeware after all. Is anybody using ResEdit resource editor with Spin controls just in case there is a ‘trick’?
Hello! I want to ask a question about parameter.
Things start from IVF windows application, I want to define a Windows Message to communicate between process. So I use the function RegisterWindowMessage and add a piece of code to handle the message in the MainWndProc. However, according to MFC tradition, I add a case branch in the MainWndProc, but the case value must be a const. So I define the message to be global parameter in the ***global.f90, but i cannot do that. here is the statement in the ***global.f90
