Intel C++ Compiler 16.0 is now available in Intel Parallel Studio XE 2016

The new version Intel C++ Compiler 16.0 is now available in Intel Parallel Studio XE 2016 that has launched early this week. If your support license is current you can download and install this at no additional charge from the Intel Registration Center

You will find some blog postings about some new features and new free tools.

Intel® IPP 9.0 is available

Intel® IPP 9.0 is now available.  The release added the new Intel® AVX-512 optimization for the computer vision and image processing functions, extended optimization for Intel® Atom™ and Intel® Quark™ processors, and included the new APIs to support external threading.

Intel® Math Kernel Library 11.3 is now available

Intel® Math Kernel Library (Intel® MKL) is a highly optimized, extensively threaded, and thread-safe library of mathematical functions for engineering, scientific, and financial applications that require maximum performance. Intel MKL 11.3 packages are now ready for download. Intel MKL is available as part of the Intel® Parallel Studio XE and Intel® System Studio .

Intel® MKL 11.3 introduces the new optimization for different functions, and provides MPI wrappers which support custom MPI* implementations such as Cray* MPI, and IBM* Platform MPI. It adds Sparse Matrix vector Multiplication format support: a new two stage API for sparse BLAS level 2 and level 3 routines. New tool available in beta: Vectorization Advisor

Software must be both threaded and vectorized to get the full performance benefit from today’s and tomorrow’s hardware.  Vectorization Advisor is a vectorization analysis tool that lets you identify loops that will benefit most from vectorization, identify what is blocking effective vectorization, explore the benefit of alternative data reorganizations, and increase the confidence that vectorization is safe.  

Vectorization Advisor is now available for beta test as a part of Intel® Advisor XE 2016.
