Supported Sensors List

Here are a collection of sensors, actuators and shields that we have had success using with Intel® Galileo and Intel® Edison boards. We are always looking for additional sensors to bring to our platform so do not hesitate to contribute and if you have some suggestions for our current drivers you can always make a git pull request.

There is also a description of how it the components works, sample code and a link to the manufacturer.

Edison tools, applicazioni e molto altro

Come sapete Edison viene distribuita con un'immagine di Yocto Linux. L'immagine contiene tutto il software necessario al funzionamento di base del sistema e diverse utilissime librerie, ma per chi, come me, e' abituato ad usare GNU/Linux normalmente, troverebbe alcune mancanze fastidiose.

Yocto e' ottima per costruire distribuzioni customizzate al proprio prodotto, ma compilare pacchetti e librerie non e' esattamente banale.

IOTree, un albero di natale intelligente, con Intel Edison

Visto che vengo spesso accusato di essere poco coinvolto negli addobbi natalizi quest'anno ho deciso di partecipare attivamente all'allestimento dell'albero.

Avendo appena ricevuto un Intel Edison non potevo non sfruttarlo per rendere l'albero piu' divertente ed intelligente.

    What's wrong with my CRC?

    I'm working on a connectivity library for IoT devices. A serious part of every communication protocol is the data integrity check. You send a collection of bytes to another machine and that machine has to know that there were no errors on the way. IP for example already has a good integrity check. The problem is that a TCP socket is basically a stream. This means that you don't really know when a buffer begins and ends. By using an integrity check we can verify that we are looking at full buffers.
