Intel® Hardware Accelerated Execution Manager (Intel® HAXM)

Intel® Hardware Accelerated Execution Manager (Intel® HAXM) is a hardware-assisted virtualization engine (hypervisor) that uses Intel® Virtualization Technology (Intel® VT) to speed up Android* app emulation on a host machine. In combination with Android x86 emulator images provided by Intel and the official Android SDK Manager, Intel HAXM allows for faster Android emulation on Intel VT enabled systems.

The following platforms are supported by Intel HAXM:

Microsoft Windows*
Windows* 10 (64-bit), Windows* 8 and 8.1 (64-bit), Windows* 7 (64-bit)

I am getting an error Windows blocked the installation of a digitally unsigned driver. Uninstall the program or device that uses the driver and check the publisher's website for a digitally signed version of the driver.

This is working fine when I start my pc by disabling driver signature enforcement. How can I fix it?

Please fix this problem on HAXM driver and update it as soon as possible.

Just tried to install this on my Windows 10 machine post Anniversary update and it said the driver was unsigned and I required a signed driver.

Where do I get one?

It seems that the HAXM driver cannot be installed on Windows 10 since the Anniversary Update, I get a "Driver Must be Signed" error when attempting to install since the update.

I tried a solution that somebody on another forum suggested to extract the driver from the installer and install the .inf file manually but that also yields the same result.

Any chance of a fix soon?

@Long L: Could you provide more information about your CPU? Also you can try silent_install.bat in a command prompt.

Hi, I am trying to install haxm on my laptop (windows 8). I've checked that its processor meets all the requirements, and vt-x is enabled, but everytime I try to run the installer, a "extracting" dialog flashes up and disappears immediately, but nothing pops up after that (no installer ui, no message), I can see that the installer is running in the task manager, but it disappears shortly after.

Any idea why the install fails?

I installed HAXM 6_0_1 and I cant seem to get the android emulator to work on android studio 2.1.2. It is stuck on the android boot screen for several hours. I'm on El Capiton Mid 2010 Macbook Pro.

@lakshya s In order to be able to install HAXM on your machine your processor must support the Intel Virtual Technology (VT-x). If your processor supports VT-x, VT-x must be enabled from BIOS before HAXM can be installed.

Please look for your processor's specs at http://ark.intel.com/
