Update of an App during Web apps contest?

Anavi's picture
Hi, I published a web app encapsulated for MeeGo netbooks in October. It's a simple game called Planetoids. Now I am working on the source code of the game to improved it and a friend of mine is helping me by making some cool graphics. Am I allowed to publish am update at AppUp for MeeGo during the contest? 10x, Leon

Hello Leon,

yes, of course:
you can publish an update as offen as you like. The last version online in the AppUp store at the end of the contest period will be used by the contest judging panel.

Best regards
Andreas

Hi,

The new version 1.0.0.1 of Planetoids is ready. I have created an rpm using AppUp (TM) encapsulator beta but I unable to uploaded it. I tried several times but I get this error:
Error transfering file, please try again. If the issue persists, please contact Intel® Customer Support

Could you please give me some tips what to do?

Thanks,
Leon

Hi Hal,

Unfortunately I still have the same issue:

Error transfering file, please try again. If the issue persists, please contact Intel® Customer Support

File name: Anavi.Planetoids.i586.meego_netbook.rpm
File size: 2,15MB

Please note that I am using the file name as it was generated by AppUp (TM) encapsulator beta. The old file (version 1.0.0.0) was with the same name.

I am using Google Chrome 16.0.912.63 m. As advised I cleared the cache but it didn't help. I have also tried using Firefox 8.0.1 but the upload failed again.

Could you please have a look again?

Thanks,
Leon

Hi,

Today I successfully submitted the new version of Planeroids for validation. I hope it will pass validation on time - before the end of the month.

Thanks,
Leon
