Safari animals take to the chessboard in this exciting strategy game.
Chess takes a walk on the wild side now that The Interactive Studio has made the Animal Chess application available for Intel® Atom™ tablets for Windows* 8.1. Players can watch their pieces transform into savage safari animals on their mobile devices.
This clever app has taken chess to an inventive new place, by turning the traditional pieces into ferocious savannah animals. With customizable colors, explosive sound effects and a variety of witty weaponry, Animal Chess is more action than any chessboard has ever seen. Players can become a tiger and detonate their opponent with TNT or choose to be an elephant and zap the enemy with a lightning bolt.
The bombastic action of the live, animated 3D animals is a sight to behold on the Windows* 8.1 tablet’s high-resolution screen. The lightning-fast processor and superior audio bring the energetic game to life. The Intel® Developer Zone offered guidance during development in order to guarantee successful optimization.
“Animal Chess is such a hilarious and engaging way to learn a complex strategy game like chess,” Andrew Tan, says CEO of The Interactive Studio. “The colors and animation are extraordinary on the Windows* 8.1 tablet’s vivid display. It’s a really entertaining experience.”
Animal Chess is now available for immediate download at the Windows* app store: http://apps.microsoft.com/windows/en-us/app/f3ff33c7-151b-4eb4-bf10-bf966742e0e2
