When it comes to getting creative and playful with comics, Comics Head by Nextwave Multimedia has it nailed on Ultrabook™ devices. This fun and artistic self-publishing tool utilizes the touch capabilities of Ultrabook systems to deliver eye-catching comics and visuals. “We’re excited to bring an innovative and fun way to get people to be creative with the touch and keyboard capabilities of Ultrabook devices,” said Mr. P R Rajendran, Director of Nextwave Multimedia.
While developing Comics Head, Nextwave Multimedia took advantage of resources available to them as an Intel® Software Partner in order to optimize Comics Head for the Intel® architecture. Nextwave Multimedia’s developers incorporated the touch screen capabilities of Ultrabook devices so users can easily interact with the many assets and tools in the Comics Head interface.
“Learning about the touch capabilities early helped us to make a more intuitive user interface for Comics Head,” said Mr. P R Rajendran. “Users can easily add characters, change backgrounds and more to the storyboard by taping, dragging and pinching with the touch screen.”
The fast processing speed of Ultrabook devices, enabled by Intel® Core™ processors, has also helped create a more fluid user experience for Comics Head. “The processor speed helped with the overall flow and interaction of Comics Head,” said Mr. P R Rajendran.
While developing Comics Head, Nextwave Multimedia reached out to Intel developers and engineers to assist in building the best code possible for Ultrabook systems. The Intel® Developer Zone was also a helpful resource for Nextwave Multimedia’s engineers. “The assistance and fast responses we received really helped us keep to our timelines,” said Mr. P R Rajendran.
Nextwave Multimedia is looking to the next big app for Ultrabook devices and partnering with Intel in the process. “The visually rich format, as well as the touch and keyboard capabilities create a very powerful platform for Ultrabook devices,” said Mr. P R Rajendran.
