Intel AppUp® developer updates

Editor’s Note: This article was revised January 21, 2014.

Thank you for being an Intel AppUp developer and submitting your app(s) to the Intel AppUp center. We’ve made the very difficult decision to close the developer portal on November 1, 2013 and to close the Intel AppUp center on March 11, 2014.

Though the AppUp developer portal will no longer be available for submitting PC apps, there are a number of other app development opportunities that we have available in the Intel Developer Zone. If you have not already, please enroll in our program to start taking advantage of the available technical and business resources supporting software development. Start by exploring the Windows zone for the latest Intel tools to help you code, optimize, test and package Ultrabook Windows* 8 applications. Should you require deeper technical discussions for specific areas, please visit one of our developer forums For business and marketing support, visit the Software Business Network to interact with our community of Intel and industry experts, and to learn more about becoming a Software Partner.

Below are answers to some of the questions that you may have regarding this announcement.

It is really amazing that Intel never think or feel that updates need to be communicated to all the members before taking the steps. It is always us who has to take the initiatives to find out what happened.

One day you login to your dashboard and find out that Intel Appup Tab is been removed..In the article link which is provided above, it is said that Intel Appup is closed from 1st November and all the financial details regarding all the apps listed in the store will be emailed to all..Where is the email? Where are the Apps? Why the Appup Store is Closed?

As one of the Premier Elite Partner we think that Intel should have communicated about all this with us.

In last year Intel merged the Appup with Software Partner Program and named it as Intel Developer Zone (IDZ) and some updates were announced. Like in replacement IC Cheker some new tool was supposed to be made available by the first half of 2013 but now 2013 is almost over and no updates yet from anyone regarding this.

There is no initiatives taken by Intel to boost the market for Apps neither there was step taken to boos the Software Partner Program, which resulted in the merger of Appup with Software as IDZ...

So now we have to be prepared for the day when there will be no IDZ also and all the partners achievement or level with there listing will be vanished.. And again all has to come-up in Linkedin group to know what happen and than someone from Intel will reply that the program is closed and for details read the article.

That is how Intel is working and treating all there partner members.

So all the Best to all of Us....:)
