Intel® Cluster Checker 2.0 - What's New?

Intel® Cluster Checker version 2.0 provides many new and improved features.

The goal of this version is to include support for third generation Intel® Core™ (codename Ivy Bridge) processors. All the packaged High Performance Computing benchmarks were rebuilt using latest releases of the Intel® Cluster Tools. The list of test modules was streamlined by merging similar checks as well.

Prepackaged benchmarks were updated to apply advanced optimizations and to leverage new platform support offered by the latest Intel Cluster tools releases, namely Intel MPI Library 4.1, Intel Fortran/C++ Compiler 13.0 and Intel Math Kernel Library 11.0.

The tests modules requiring similar information were put together to avoid redundant data gathering. This change not only improves the tool scalability but also reduces its execution time.

The following list summarizes the transition from old module names to new ones:

libraries: base_libs, intel_*_version, lib32_counterpart_lib64, x11_libs

mount: mount_proc, shm, home, tmp

shells: sh, bash, csh, ksh, tcsh

tools: perl_version, python_version, tcl_version
