Intel® Compilers for OS X* "Can't Be Opened Because It is From an Unidentified Developer"

Summary:  Users of OS X* 10.9 Mavericks* may have difficulty using the Intel® Composer online installers.

Affected versions:  Intel Composer XE 2013 SP1, Intel Composer XE 2015 Beta  ONLINE INSTALLERS ONLY.
Quick workaround: download the full (non-online) package and install from that .dmg file.

Symptoms:  While opening the .mpkg package for the compilers, a warning message appears with the message "m_ccompxe_online_*.mpkg"  or "m_fcompxe_online_*.mpkg" can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.

This is a problem for the online installation packages for Intel® Compilers on OS X through Intel Composer XE 2013 SP1 Update 3 and Intel Composer XE 2015 Beta versions.  We hope to have a fix for future online installation packages. For now, simply download and use the full installation disk image (non-online installer dmg package)

However, you can work around the problem.  Instead of double-clicking the .mpkg file, right-click the .mpkg and select OPEN as shown below.

right-click the .mkpg file

Next, a window will warn  you that you are about to open a package from an unknown developer.  Select OPEN to continue to the installation as show below:
