Intel® Debugger for Linux* GUI Requirements

Intel® Debugger for Linux* comes with a Graphical User Interface (GUI). The GUI requires an environment which supports Graphics and a Java Runtime Environment version 1.5 or higher that has been validated against Oracle’s JRE. This is available at www.java.com.

Using an older version of Java will result in the following error:
user@lab10:~$ idb

Detected Java Runtime version 1.4. A Java Runtime version 1.5 or higher is required, please upgrade your Java Runtime.
For more information, please read the release notes.
Using an environment that does not support Graphics results in the following error:
user@lab10:~$ idb
