Intel® IPP Installation Fails Due to Permission Restrictions

When installing Intel® IPP 5.1 on Linux* without using RPM database, the installer may report a failure. This happens only when the <install-root> folder contains subdirectories that have access permission restrictions for the installation user.

The installer reports a failure if the <install-root> folder subdirectories have permission restrictions.

You can install Intel IPP to a temporary directory, and then manually copy the files to your target folder. This problem will be fixed in an upcoming version of the Intel IPP.
