On September 1st 2009 - we changed the rules and prize structure for the Thread Like Wildfire contest.
Intel® Software Network recently released the source code for the Smoke Tech Game Demo -- a framework to support n-way threading of game technologies. By correctly threading a game it can have more accurate physics, smarter AI, more particles, and/or a faster frame-rate. Smoke demonstrates one way to achieve better games.
Now through December 31st download the code, learn, and show/tell us how you used it, what your learned, or how you can further improve it. Submit a video, code sample, article / white paper, or a working demo using the code downloaded from the Intel Smoke Game Technology Demo site.
Each month our panel of engineers and community managers will select three (3) contributions who will each receive a USD $300 gift card from GAMESTOP* -- great for online ordering of games from anywhere worldwide. Contributions will be judged on creativity and innovative ideas on using, modifying or enhancing the Smoke code.
Submit before the end of each month to qualify for that month’s incentives.
So learn something new, share your expertise, and win some cool prizes, submit your entries in the Thread Like Wildfire contest
I look forward to seeing your cool ideas! if you have any questions, feel free to email me at email@example.com
