Your Vote for the Future of Yocto

I cross-posted this from my blog on the Yocto Project website. Hope you can help us for the future of embedded Linux.

Just a gentle reminder that we are still soliciting your ideas for the next major release of the Yocto Project.

Given that we are close to releasing the 1.0 version of the Yocto Project, we're now sorting through the input we have collected or heard for the next major release, planned for October 2011.

Richard Purdie has previously sent out a solicitation in this mail, and we would like you to access the Wiki page and review it, edit it according to the instructions on the page to add other requirements, and give us your ideas.

(We have not actually decided on a version number for this release, but it is seeming to me like more of a 1.1 than a 2.0).

We would like to close on the solicitation of requirements by April 4, 2011. We want to close on our project requirements document by the Linux Foundation Collaboration Summit on April 6 and need some time to process any of your input.

Thanks again, and I look forward to your feedback!
