It is with the utmost pleasure, I'd like to call your attention to the Dr. David Valentine's "Making Parallleism Nifty" video series. Dr. Valentine said at SIGCSE 2011 in Dallas that "good instructional materials begin with a brilliant, engaging assignment."
Dr, Valentine received his grant in 2011 for his work applying an investigative model used with Intel® Parallel Studios to some of the ACM SIGCSE Nifty assignments. He hoped to generate an educational "package" showing how to parallelize the Nifty assignments. It is gratifying to see yet another piece of the content puzzle enabling paralleism to become a mainstream part of beginning CS fall into place. I very much like Dr. Valentine's video approach and hope you do as well.
