Wednesday, September 10  8:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.
Admission is open to all IDF registrants. Your IDF badge is required for admittance, so please bring it with you.

But wait, you do not have your reg badge yet ;-(   Never fear!  You can still attend the party, but you must pick up your reg. badge on your own.  I cannot provide transport to or from the concert.  Bring your student ID, a state ID and a record of the email  registering you for IDF.

Picking up Your IDF Badge

You must already be registered as per received instructions.  Bring your email acknowledgement of your successful student registration with you.  Badge Pickup is located on the first floor on the Moscone West convention Center.  Please be prepared to show two types of identification: State ID and Student ID

This special Day for student software engineers, 18 and older,.  You must possess a valid student ID to receive your pass.  
 
The day will feature a welcome by Intel hosts and a super-charged day of software trainings with topics covering: Internet of Things, Big Data, software innovation, HTML5 development, and more. 
 
New this year is the Ultimate Makerspace which will feature, among other attractions,  demos, challenges, prizes, and giveaways. The Ultimate Makerspace will be a place for makers to come and see the latest Intel technologies, build new projects, and have a great time.You can also participate in our Intel Technology Showcase. 
 
 All meals will be provided.  Oh, and the party – you won’t want to miss our IDF attendee party on Wednesday night at Moscone West*.  Experience the event in true Intel fashion with music and refreshments … and plenty of technology thrown in for good measure!
 
And just why is Intel interested in student developers? Because you’re the world’s future innovators. We want to show you our view of where technology is heading.
 
Your day with Intel begins with a welcome around 9:00 a.m. will end at 3:15 p.m., (not including transit time) so prepare for a technical, fun and memorable day.
 
 
Free Bus Transportation - Details
You MUST be registered to attend IDF via your student pass code to receive a seat on the bus.

Free Bus Transportation - Details

  • The San Jose Bus is full.  If you have not received confirmation you will not get a seat.  All who registered for iDF can still come though!  There is plenty of other transportation options.         
  • There are still seats available on the Berkeley and Sacramento busses.  Email academic.community@intel.com to inquire.
  • Please arrive early to find parking if applicable, in order to get to the bus on-time for departure.
  •          Look for the Intel Developer Forum sign in the vehicles.

SAN JOSE & SOUTH BAY AREA Students (Bus is FULL)

  •    Pickup/Drop-off San Jose State University: At the turnaround  loop at 7th and San Salvador near the South Parking garage  see http://www.sjsu.edu/map/docs/SJSU_campus_map.pdf  Bus loads at 7:00 a.m. and leaves sharp at 7:15 a.m.
  •    Evening - At Moscone Center, bus loads at 3:15 p.m. outside the center and leaves at 3:30 p.m. If you are not on the bus, you will be responsible for your own transportation.

EAST BAY AREA Students

Free bus transportation will be available between Contra Costa College, and a Berkeley pickup at Downtown Berkeley BART Station, to Moscone Center. Breakfast treats will be available on the bus.

  •    Pickup/Drop-off Contra Costa College: At the two islands just north of the bus stop (left side of campus) – see campus map. Bus loads at 6:30 a.m. and leaves sharp at 6:45 a.m.
  •    Pickup/Drop-off at Downtown Berkeley BART station: Bus loads at 7:00 a.m. and leaves sharp at 7:15 a.m.
  •    Evening - At Moscone Center, bus loads at 3:15 p.m. outside the center and leaves at 3:30 p.m. If you are not on the bus, you will be responsible for your own transportation.

SACRAMENTO & FOLSOM AREA Students

Free bus transportation will be available between Sacramento State University and Moscone Center. Note that to park on campus, you will need to purchase a parking permit in advance.

  •    Pickup/Drop-off Location: Lot 10 located South of Hornet Stadium on the South side (Highway 50 side) of campus – see campus map.
  •    Morning - Bus loads at 7:00 a.m. and leaves sharp at 7:15 a.m. Breakfast treats will be available.
  •    Evening - At Moscone Center, bus loads at 3:15 p.m. outside the center and leaves at 3:30 p.m. If you are not on the bus, you will be responsible for returning to Sacramento on your own; it is a very expensive cab ride.

Morning Schedule - Expect updates as we build the Day.
  • 9:00 a.m. – Pick up badge and passes at IDF registration at Moscone Center West. Help yourself to the complimentary breakfast (San Francisco/East Bay Area students).  
  •   9:15 a.m. – Welcome from Intel and Academic Hosts, Paul Steinberg and Professor Tom Murphy.  You will receive your full recommended day schedule closer to the event. For a peak at available sessions, click HERE.
  •  And the rest of the day to come! Sessions, Hackathon, Technology Showcase, special talksand more.
  • 3:15 p.m. – Day officially ends, head back to the bus for the ride back to campus.
