Let the Ultimate Coder: Ultrabook Challenge Begin!

 Ultrabook Challenge
The Ultimate Coder: Ultrabook™ Challenge, has officially kicked off, where six developers compete head to head to code apps for next generation Ultrabooks running Windows 8 with touch and sensor technology. Each week, they’ll post their progress while four industry expert bloggers weigh in and eventually judge who will be the Ultimate Coder.

The Ultimate Coder: Ultrabook™ Challenge is going to be an interesting six weeks of competitive coding. We’ve recruited six top developers from around the world to spend six weeks developing apps for next generation Ultrabooks running Windows 8 with touch and sensor technology. Each week these developers will post a weekly log to let us know what they are experiencing, how they are solving challenges and what makes their app the ultimate app for Ultrabook devices.

Meet the Ultimate Coder Challengers:

In addition to these developers, we’ve invited four of the top thinkers from the tech industry to weigh in each week on what these developers are doing. They will serve as coach and critic for these developers while simultaneously providing all of us with an objective point of view to render our own decisions on who will win this challenge.

Meet our panel of Ultimate Coder Judges:

At the end of six weeks, each developer will submit their app for review. At that time, our panel of expert judges will get a chance to get hands-on with these apps on next generation Ultrabook hardware. By the eighth week, a final decision will be made on who is the Ultimate Coder.

So tune in each day on Facebook or our website as we post the latest developer blogs, judge reactions, and weekly recaps. We invite you to join the conversation on our Facebook page and share your own thoughts, reactions, and support as the contest gets underway.

About the Hardware: Ultrabook Specs
Each Ultimate Coder developer has received a pre-production Ivy Bridge Ultrabook manufactured by Intel for distribution to developers. Developers who have this product are under non-disclosure regarding detailed hardware specifications and performance, but will be providing weekly posts regarding their experience, challenges and solutions in regards to building Ultrabook applications. Below is information about these devices, and while these devices will not be in market, look for similar Ultrabooks from some of your favorite PC manufactures.

I would Like Intel But here in india some problem. What the problem? No Service centre in West Bengal in Kolkata.

Idea of ultrabooks is very good and exciting, but nowadays these gadgets are very expensive,The optimum prices of these should be about 600-700 USD.Unfortunately the inks make only 13,3" ultras, the others are not those,One U' have to be like Acer s7 for'ez,very very thin and light...but in that case I put an 14 or 15 col display.(13 col s7 )...

One ultra be:

-more thinner than 1cm
-very fast
-cool design
-long battery life ( one day or up)
-has ultra high resolution display / 4k / - like apple retina or up
-13 col case with a 15 col display/15 col case with a 17 col display with gorilla glass without frame
-512 gb ssd
-touch display
-the best sorrund tecnics like bose, monster, harman cardon

Rock Intel.

intel provides the best quality of products

i also want to become a member of this quizzzz

I'm extremely excited to be part of this and of course, can't wait to get hands-on with the hardware and software.

Good luck to Lee, John, George, Suresh, Sagar, Shailesh and Andreas.

Jon, Helena, Chris, what do you have in mind for bribes ;-)
