Is Java accepted?

Quick and possibly silly question, but are Java entries accepted? I read the rules regarding target system specifications, but I'm unsure since it'd require Java to be installed before running the game.

My engine is written in Java and uses the libGDX library, and I'd like to use it if possible. (http://libgdx.badlogicgames.com)

Java should be fine as long as you're packaging an installed game, not a broswer based game.

It would be an executable JAR. I assume that's what is meant by "installed game," correct? It won't be packaged with an installer, it just requires Java to be installed first and then you can double click on it to run it like any other program.

Sorry for nitpicking, I just want to be extra sure.

That should be fine.  We'll have the Java runtimes installed.
