App Authorization

App Authorization

Hi, I am developing a MFC application for Intel AppUp. I issue is that I am always getting NOT_AUTHORIZED return for the function call Application::GetAuthorizationStatus(). My application is an mfc based one. Can someone share the info on as to how get proper authorization for MFC apps? Thanks, Aibin

For more complete information about compiler optimizations, see our Optimization Notice.

Aibin,

Are you using the supplied DEBUG_GUID?
Is the AppUp Emulator running? If so, please paste it's results here.

This link ought to help get you going:

You are right .... i didn't specify the DEBUG_GUID. But my problem is far from being solved.
Here is the code snippet

Header

#include "adpcppf.h"

class CMyDialogApp : public CWinApp, public Application
{
public:
CMyDialogApp();

// Overrides
public:
virtual BOOL InitInstance();

// Implementation

DECLARE_MESSAGE_MAP()

private:
static ApplicationId id;
};

In the cpp I do the following:

ApplicationId CMyDialogApp::id(ADP_DEBUG_APPLICATIONID);

// CMyDialogApp

BEGIN_MESSAGE_MAP(CMyDialogApp, CWinApp)
ON_COMMAND(ID_HELP, CWinApp::OnHelp)
END_MESSAGE_MAP()

CMyDialogApp::CMyDialogApp():Application(id)
{

ADP_RET_CODE ret = Application::GetAuthorizationStatus();
if( ret == ADP_AUTHORIZED)
{

}
else
{

}
}

The code crashes inside std::list.

Thanks and regards,

Aibin,

This may be a linker/compiler settings problem. If there is no sensitive data in the project, please zip and attach it to this thread. I would be happy to review it and offer a solution.

Hi,

I was able to solve the issue.
Thanks for the support.

Cheers,
Aibin

Aibin,

Great to hear. What turned out to be the issue?
