Game uploaded 5 hours ago and still no beta test option!

Hi, We have uploaded our game through the Upload and Submit page, and also pressed the "Submit Files" button when it was 100% complete so the application can enter the next stage. We have now waited 5 hours and still no Beta test option on the AppUp Center page. It's still on the "check back in an hour message". Any ideas on what might be going wrong? Is this normal? Does this stage require some human intervention from someone at Intel or is it an automatic process that a submitted app should become testable after an hour? Cheers Brian

Hi Brian,

It does not require human intervention from someone at Intel. If your app name or msi file name has any special characters please try changing name.

Hi Hal,

The name of the file upladed is

AdvancedCollapse_Install.msi

As far as I know this name is legal.

It currently says "1.0 Draft 11-22-2010 12:11:50 PM (GMT) " under the application icon when we expand. The time of 12:11:50 was when we uploaded the above msi. It's now 6.30 pm, and still no sign of being alowed to proceed to the next stage?

Any other ideas appreciated.

Cheers

Brian

Hello Brian,

We may need to make some adjustments on our end. What is msi file name and name of application?

Hi Hal,

Thanks for the reply.

It's now there.

We submitted another version, but with a slightly different name for the msi. We also updated the version number on the first page. This time it worked!

Do you have to change the msi name or version number each time you upload a new test version, for the system to recognise you have changed it?

Thanks

Brian

Hi Brian,

Yes, the issue appears to not be happening anymore.
I have tested it as well and it works fine.

Regarding your questions about the versioning: Not really, if your submission is a new submission, you do not need to change the version number for every beta testing. However, if the app is already published and you are working on then same app but an updated version, then you need to change the version number and also mentioned what you changed so that validation team can validate the application quicker.
