On Thursday afternoon Intel migrated content from one platform to another. During this process our email notification system was not shut off, causing us to send thousands of new content alerts to authors regarding old content, now published on the new platform. Once discovered we turned off the alert system. This was an unfortunate incident that Intel regrets, as the communication unintentionally disrupted a number of member inboxes for nearly two hours. Intel has a tradition of high standards with regard to respecting privacy and keeping communication to discreet opted-in messages. We are currently reviewing our process, policies, and recommending adjustments to ensure this does not happen again. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this incident do not hesitate to contact us.
