Intel(R) Active Management Technology - SOL (COM3) "doesn't exist"

I have Windows 10, 64 bit and last week, without warning and while I was away from my PC, the Anniversary Windows 10 upgrade happened.  It took forever to complete and once done, I encountered many problems with sound and drivers and also that all my restore points had been deleted.

My drivers are now all up to date, including those for Intel products.  However I have yellow exclamation mark next to the Intel(R) Active Management Technology - SOL (COM3) in my Device Manager.   When I clicked on it, the error message is "This device cannot start. (Code 10).  A device which does not exist was specified".  

Under Resource Settings, it says "This device isn't using any resources because it has a problem"

I have looked at the Events tab and at the time of the upgrade, it appears that there was a series of events (10) such as Device installed, Device deleted, Device migrated, Driver service added, a multiple number of times.  None of this was initiated by me and I am the sole use of this PC.

The question is, do I need this software, and if so, where can I find it for re-installation.  Also, where did it go?
