Compiler version: Upgrading from 8.0.040 to 8.0.042?

Compiler version: Upgrading from 8.0.040 to 8.0.042?

I have tried to install the patch for Intel C++Compiler but it failed. The patch needs version 8.0.041 and I have downloaded version 8.0.040. I have tried to download the newset compiler version but it still is 8.0.040. Where do I find 8.0.041 version so I can upgrade to 8.0.042?

Patch file is W_CC_PC_8[1].0.041_PE042.1.exe.

Regards,
d

The 8.0.041 compiler is on the 3rd page of my What's New listing. Some browsers are prevented from going past the 1st page.

I did find version 8.0.41in Downloads section, thanx very much!

However, it remains unclear why Intel still keeps version 8.0.40 in their main download section. So, the people that download the compiler today will get an old version!?

Hi

Regarding the older compilers we have on our website. We keep our released product version posted on the filedownloads web site because we have customers who qualify their products (e.g., libraries) based on released product versions. It is then necessary for their customers to access this version rather than an update. Other customers qualify products on updates so we have found it necessary to keep update compilers available longer than expected.

Unfortunately, the web site software does not allow us to organize our postings by any other method than post date. We realize that this can make the site confusing and are working to resolve this issue in the future.

John O'Neill
