no disk C: installation problem

When I tried to install "Intel C++ compiler 7.0" on Win XP I got the error from the installer : "there is no disk C". Then the installation stoped.

Indeed, on my PC there is no "C" drive - but non of other programs installed complained on that.
So why "Intel C++ compiler 7.0" should?

For more complete information about compiler optimizations, see our Optimization Notice.

At what stage of the installation did you receive the message? For instance, when the compiler was extracting from the original distribution file or when files are being copied to the hard drive? Thanks.
