depth stream not working

depth stream not working

Hi,

I installed the R8 package but when trying to get the depth stream from the camera using the "capture viewer" provided with the SDK the program crashes immediately. This issue doesn't occur when using the color stream or the vertices option (under depth stream) but since of the all applications are using the depth stream I can't seem to get anything running.

Any ideas how to fix this ?

Thanks

Yuval

depth stream isn't working

I have the same problem.

After I installed the R8 package,

RGB stream is working, but depth stream isn't.

What is the version of your creative camera? I suggest you to upgrade the firmware of your creative camera and see if there is any different. You can download the upgrade tool at http://ccfiles.creative.com/ManualDn/Applications/VNI/13074/0x67723BF7/C...

Hi, I installed the new firmware but still no change. I can get frames form the color stream and from the vertices option but not the depth stream directly. any more ideas ?

Thanks

Yuval

Hi, any news about this issue ?

i have the same problem

SDK (R8 or R7) have the same problem

RGB can work, not the depth image

I had the same problem last year, and found that its the Hardware problem, I got new camera and that solved the problem

thanks for ur reply

how can i get a new one?

Please do following steps to reinstall DSSDK and let me know if this can fix your issue.

1. open Add Remove Programs from control panel
2. remove all that have DepthSense SDK in the name

3. Install DSSDK from following link.

http://registrationcenter.intel.com/irc_nas/3706/DepthSenseSDK-1.2.2.958...

I follow your instruction and the problem is same. In "Gusture reviewer" Demo, when i click "start" button, then show “Init Started” and "streaming" "stopped"

Is it a hardware problem? How can I get a new one?

thanks for your reply

What CPU are you using? Thanks!

PerC SDK 2013 R8 need AVX support and OS with SP1. So please install the SP1 in your computer and it should fix your problem. Thanks!

Hi, I installed the DSSDK but still no change (the capture Viewer crashes when trying to get the depth stream).
I'm using an i5-M540 processor, could that be the cuase ?

Yuval, your CPU did not support latest PerC SDK 2013 R8. You need find CPU supporting AVX instruction set(All intel's 2nd/3rd/4th gen CPUs are qualified) and OS with SP1.

since I'm only interested in the depth stream and not in complicated SDK options such as gesture recognition etc. is there any possible way to use older SDK that will run on this CPU ? if so from where can I download older an older SDK ?

hi

I have a problem  with depth stream that stop working after start I have win7 home premium with sp1 the cpu  intel i3

please help solve the problem

thanks to all

I have the same problem.

However, when using OpenCV 2.4.9.0 I can retreive the depth map and IR map, but not the rgb image! (which is the other way around from the SDK software examples!)

I have Windows 7 SP1 (64 bit), Intel i7-920 and I'm using VC++ 2010 express.

   Dear intel support department

i am waiting for your support to now that my interactive camera is working correctly or no i can not determine where the problem in depth stream is it hardware problem or software problem please help me to solve problem .

iam waiting your feedback

thanks

Stephane, Your CPU is not in our SDK support list. You should use Intel 2nd/3rd/4th gen CPU. Thanks!
