Is there a reason the Netherlands are not a eligible country (all the neighbours are)?
Thanks for your interest in the Intel RealSense App Challenge. Last year we had 16 eligible countries, and this year we've been able to increase that number to 37. Each country has its own set of international rules and regulations when it comes to competitions like this one. A considerable amount of time and effort are spent on our part to include as many countries as we can. Sometimes though, we run into legal constraints laid down by the specific governing body of a country that does not allow us to run the competition in a productive manner.
We more than doubled the amount of countries this year, and hopefully The Netherlands will be a part in the years to come.
If you have the opportunity to reach out to someone who is a resident of one of the 37 included countries and enter on a team with them, then you will be able to participate.
Best of luck,
Thx for the explanation. I already suspected that we have the most complex legislation of the whole of europe, together with Switzerland. Now you have actually confirmed this ;)
