Error when using C++ command line interface instead of using C++ in Visual Studio

we licensed Intel C++ Intel 64 Compiler Professional for applications running on Intel 64, Version 11.1.046 that ist installed together with the Intel Cluster Toolkit Compiler Edition for Windows, 2 Floating User Edition, SNxxxx-xxxxxckh on a 64 bit Windows HPC 2008 Server machine.

SN removed by moderator

Everything works fine using the compiler in Visual Studio.

But we need the C++ command line interface, unfortunatelywe get an error:

C:\Windows\system32>icl
icl: error #10310: Failed to enable trusted storage check for licensing: WARNING
: Enable Trusted Storage failed (flexnet error code 20). Trusted Storage based license could... (?)
(some text missing, its not displayed in the commed window)

What shall we do that we can work with the C++ CLI?

Thanks a lot, best regards,

Markus Zimmermann

Greetings,

The bug you are seeing is similar to the one described in this article.

There is an article explaining the workaround for the bug preventing the normal start process of the license server on Windows Vista* or Windows Server* 2008.

http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/installing-license-server-on-vi...

Please let me know if this helps.

This issue has been fixed and the license server with the changes will be posted to the Intel Registration center in next few days. I will let you know once the files are posted.

Thanks
Shamla

Hello Shamla,

The License Manager FLEXLM needs license files. Usually we have .lic files for the personalized Intel Software.

We get the C++as download from the Intel Cluster Toolkit compiler edition, 2 user floating version.Where do we get a license file (.lic) for the floating versions?

best regards,

Markus

The license files can be resend to yourself, y logging on to the Intel Registration center. Please log on to https://registrationcenter.intel.com/ and resend the license file to yourself.

Thank for sending the licence-file (*.lic), but unfortunately there is the wrong hostname (my local machine instead of Server).
Question: How can I change the hostname in *.lic-file?
Thank you for your help
