Am I entitled to a non-commercial license?

Am I entitled to a non-commercial license?

I'm a professional astronomer working for a public research insitution in Italy (INAF). I'm not able to undestand wether the non-commercial license is applicable to me. I occasionally develop software used for the sole purpose of supporting my research activity. I get a salary for my work, but it is not dependet on my programming activity. Can anybody  tell me wether I can use the intel fortran compiler with a non-profit licence?

Many thanks

For more complete information about compiler optimizations, see our Optimization Notice.

Let me investiage your request and come back to you soon.

Is the full legal office still fighting on a viable answer? :-)

If your use of the compiler in any way results in income activities, for instance if the results you obtain from your calculations support your paid research, then no, you may not use a non-commercial license.
