Cluster studio XE for Linux license not available.

Cluster studio XE for Linux license not available.

I just downloaded cluster studio a few days ago and installed it.  Now when we try to use it the following happens.  I copied the license file that I got into /opt/intel/licenses and you can see it below as entry 3.  All my previous installations have gone smoothly and don't have experience with this problem.  Help appreciated.  Thanks.

icc -openmp offload_test.cc j2c_arena.c -o offload_test

Hello Todd,

The cause seems to be another TCP port used by INTEL daemon was blocked by firewall.

When Intel(R) Flexlm license server starts, there are two server daemon running:

One is FlexNet Publisher* license server daemon, which used default 28518 port or the one set in SERVER line of the license file.

The other one is Intel(R) Software License Manager Vendor Daemon, which used TCP/IP port number specified on the VENDOR line of the license file. For more info ,you can refer to https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/cannot-connect-to-flexlm-license-server-due-to-firewall

Thank you.

Hello Todd,

Could you please try to the licensing checkout logs for me to investigate?

Please do as follows:

$ export INTEL_LICENSE_FILE=</path/to/license/file>
where, </path/to/license/file> should be the folder in which Beta license files reside.

$ export INTEL_LMD_DEBUG="/tmp/licensecheckout.log"

and execute the product. Doing so generates detailed information on the licensing failure.

Thanks for proving this with me to investifate further.

Thank you.

You can close this ticket.  We realized we needed a beta version of the compiler.  After uninstalling the previous version and installing the beta we aren't having any licensing issues.

thanks,

Todd
