tlb misses

tlb misses

Hi,
i dont know is this the right forum to post this question. if it is not, please direct me to the right forum. My question is how can catch a tlb miss in linux. i know that operating system does not handle the tlb misses. But is there a way for me to account tlb faults per process. Are there any performance registers or performance monitoring events that does this.

Thanks,
Raghu

Hello Raghu,

Good questions.

The Forum you want is really over here.

There are many performance monitoring events that account for a variety of tlb events.

If you have not yet downloaded and installed one or the other of these products, you should go do so right away and have a look:
