confusion about support service expiration

confusion about support service expiration

I received several emails from Intel saying my support service for Parallel Studio would expire 12/31/2010. I wanted to renew and pursued that with my companys purchasing department. Unfortunately, because of bureaucracy issues, the renewal didnt get purchased.

I had purchased Parallel Studio 2010 in August 2010. I thought I would have support for 1 year from that date. I upgraded to 2011 under the support service in September. I just logged into my account to look at my products. The serial number for Parallel Studio 2011 shows support status expired 12/31/2010. The serial number for Parallel Studio 2010 shows support status active with expiration of today (1/4/2011.) I could use assistance understanding the reason for these dates.
