Re: variables default to automatic

Re: variables default to automatic

It's variables that would otherwise have static allocations, which doesn't include ALLOCATABLE, but could include local arrays. Stack allocation will tend to mean that variables are uninitialized, which means.. they are uninitialized. Chances are they will contain "junk", but that junk could be zeroes... It is a good debugging technique, though, and if you're using CVF, specifying this option makes it easier for the compiler to find uninitialized variables at compile time.
