Getting to know Fortran

I have been using Fortran for many years, but only at a basic level, and mostly using fortran 77. I am now using it at a much higher level and learning some new things (derived data types, etc). Can anyone recommend a good fortran book/"bible"? All I have is my textbook from 1993 and it just isn't cutting it :) Thanks....

Hi, Michele. Welcome to the forum!

A book I like is "Fortran 90/95 for Scientists and Engineers" by Stephen Chapman. I'm sure others will chime in with their favorites.

Michelle,

my favourite is Fortran 90 Programming by Ellis, Philips, Lahey, Addison Wesley, Wokingham, 1994, ISBN 0-201-54446-6.
