82801JI - Linux Kernel Module

My name is John and I work for Lockheed Martin. Currently using RHEL EL 4.0 update 4 and received a new set of hardware containing the "Intel Corporation 82801JI (ICH10)" and having problems with the native RedHat kernel (2.6.9-42.el). I'm looking for a way to compile the module and get this ".ko" file into my kickstart configuration.

Any help would be appreciated.

John

I believe that's an embedded part, the two components I see on ark that sound like the part you're referring to (http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=34392 and http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=34395 ) both are qualified with embedded . Plus, the embedded team tends tobe a lot more focused on Linux as well.

You might try the Embedded Design Center (http://edc.intel.com/ ), I know they've got a live chat option on their main page and they might be able to help you. They'll certainly have a better feel for Linux support than I do. If you can provide more information to them on the hardware that the ICH is part of, that would probably help as well.
