How to obtain forces acting on a rigid body at a given time

Hi, I am new to the Havok engine and am considering using it for some research that I am working on. I would like to know when dealing with rigid bodies, if it is possible to obtain the forces acting on a body at a particular point in time, and what would the appropriate method be for doing so? Thank you!

Hi sylfaen,

You can apply forces to rigid bodies, but there's no way to ask the system what specific forces have been applied for a given frame. When you apply a force in havok it is immediately converted into velocity. You can get the linear and angular velocity of the body though using hkpRigidBody::getLinearVelocity and hkpRigidBody::getAngularVelocity. If you want to know the individual forces at a given frame, you'd want to write some of your own code that to track that information.
