Any way to get VTune working on Fedora 8?

Hi,

I've been attempting to run VTune 9.0u7 on a Fedora 8 (c2q 6600/em64t) machine. I installed the Fedora 7 kernel mentioned in the documentation (2.6.21-1.3194.fc7) and it appeared to be working fine.

After 2 days of use, the machine has hung twice running sampling that previously ran successfully on the exact same setup (syslog follows message). Would backing the kernel down to a pre-2.6.21 version (2.6.18-1.2798.fc6) help? Is there any way to get VTune working on Fedora 8?

Thanks,
Tom

When is the next update of VTune scheduled for release? As Fedora 9 has been released, Fedora 7 is no longer being updated.
