Non-Blocking I/O

Non-Blocking I/O

According to the supplied example programs PEEKAPP and PEEKAPP3 it is possible to simulate non-blocking I/O when using QuickWin by using a multi-threaded application. There is another article in the docs titled < COMPILING and LINKING Multithread programs > which states clearly that QuickWin and the multi-thread libraries can't co-exist. Please explain away the apparent inconsistency. Thank You.

For more complete information about compiler optimizations, see our Optimization Notice.

QuickWin applications are always statically-linked multithread. I'm not sure what article you're referring to, but you can't, for example, specify that you want to use the DLL multithread libraries.
