Congratulations Corentin Chary, winner of $20,000 USD for his "Best Custom App for France" Lugdulo'V! Lugdulo'V is an excellent app that has both French and world-wide appeal. The app, which supports over 18 countries and 120 cities, maps the location of bike rentals. It also displays a picture of the rental shop or station and tells the user how many bikes and return slots are available. Biking is a popular transportation option in France. The app was named after the first city in France to offer a bike rental service, Lyon (named Lugdunum during the Gallo-Roman era). The addition of the "V" signifies "velo" - the French word for "bike". We love that French natives as well as tourists can use this app in France, and almost every other major city consumers travel to. For consumers who aren't accustomed to biking, this app provides an economical and environmentally-friendly option. Check out the official Winner's Circle page for the full app write-up and information about Corentin. Congratulations Corentin!
