Debugger Operators

The following operators are available. To use them, the debugger must be in assembler mode.

PHYS(asm_expr)

Returns the physical address for the specified expression asm_expr. The physical address is not calculated from the page tables. If no physical address is available, the linear address is displayed.

PHYSOF(asm_expr)

Returns the physical address calculated from the page tables for the specified expression asm_expr. If no physical address and no paging is available, this command is ignored.

SYSREG(name)

Converts a register name into an evaluable expression. The SYSREG debugger operator can be used within all evaluation commands as well as within the SET VALUE command. For more information refer to Evaluations Window and to the respective command description.

Example

SHOW MEMORY PHYS(0x1000)

The command above displays the memory of the physical address 0x1000.

SHOW MEMORY 0x1000

This command displays the memory of the virtual address 0x1000.
