FLASH "BACKUP FLASH"

Back up currently selected flash.

Syntax

FLASH "BACKUP FLASH burn_algexec_init [/OFFSET=offset /LENGTH=length] 'filename'"

Parameters

burn_alg

One of the following values:

TRUE

Transfers the burn algorithm to the target.

FALSE

Uses the existing burn algorithm on the target.

exec_init

One of the following values:

TRUE

Executes the initialization script specified in the configuration window before performing the backup.

FALSE

Performs backup without reinitializing the target before. This is the default value.

/OFFSET=offset

A hexadecimal value.

/LENGTH=length

The length to backup in bytes.

filename

The backup file name.

Description

The command FLASH "BACKUP FLASH" backs up the currently selected flash to the specified file filename. If the parameters offset and length are not specified the command backs up the whole flash.

The initialization script and the download of the burn algorithm to the target need to be executed only once per session. Changes to the target RAM memory or registers may require an additional execution. The burn_alg parameter has no effect on the RAM-free burning method.

Example

FLASH "BACKUP FLASH TRUE TRUE 'c:/myworkdir/backup.bin'"
