OS "GETCR3"

Search and display the associated CR3 value for a given thread managed by the Linux* OS kernel.

Syntax

OS "GETCR3 {threadname | process_id} [/SETVAR=dbvar]"

Parameters

threadname

The name of the thread for which you want to look up the CR3 value.

process_id

The process ID for which the CR3 you want to look up the CR3 value.

/SETVAR=dbvar

Set this option to additionally store the result to the specified debugger variable dbvar.

Description

This command searches the Linux* thread list for the given thread name or process ID and returns the associated CR3 value. If there are multiple entries with the given name, all associated CR3 values will be printed. It is recommended to specify the process ID (rather than the thread's name) to make the search unambiguous.

If you set the optional /SETVARoption, additionally the result of the search is stored to the specified debugger variable dbvar. If the search was ambiguous (i.e. there were multiple search results) or there were no entries found, the debugger variable will be set to 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.
