PCI "SCAN"

Scans for PCI devices on a specific bus or bus range on the platform.

Syntax

PCI "SCAN [{/BUS=bus_id | /STARTBUS=startbus_id/ENDBUS=endbus_id}][/MCFG]"

Parameters

/BUS=bus_id

The id number of the bus to be scanned.

/STARTBUS=startbus_id

The id number of the bus starting the scan range. (Optional)

/ENDBUS=endbus_id

The id number of the bus ending the scan range. (Optional)

/MCFG

Enumerates PCI Devices using the memory-mapped base address from the MCFG table. (Optional)

Description

This command scans for PCI devices on the platform. If the optional parameter /BUS is given, the command scans for PCI devices residing on a specific bus. If the optional parameters /STARTBUS and /ENDBUS are given, the command scans for PCI devices in a specific bus range. If the optional parameter /MCFG is given, the debugger scans for a valid SFI or RSDP to locate a MCFG table and then uses the memory-mapped base address from this table.

Note

Make sure to use this command only after full initialization of the platform's PCI subsystem. Accessing the PCI bus before that point in time might lead to target instabilities up to and including crashes.
